Fit guide
Sizes are one variable. Cut is the other. A medium relaxed-shoulder hoodie wears like an oversized large; a medium fitted tee wears closer to a small in a relaxed cut. Each product page lists its cut at the top of the variant picker; this page maps the words to what you should expect.
Cuts we stock
Relaxed shoulder
A small but deliberate drop shoulder. The shoulder seam sits about 2 cm below your shoulder bone, the chest is roomy but not boxy, and the hem hits at the hip. This is our default cut for branded merch because it suits the most body types.
Size: as you would for any well-fitting tee.
Drop shoulder
A heavier drop, around 4 to 5 cm below the shoulder bone. Boxier through the chest and hem. Good for layering or for a deliberately relaxed silhouette.
Size: one down from your usual if you want a closer fit; usual size for a relaxed wear.
Oversized
A full size up plus a drop shoulder. Reads as a deliberate "oversized" silhouette. Common on streetwear-leaning brands.
Size: one down from your usual unless you want the full oversized look.
Fitted
A close cut through the chest and shoulder. Sleeves taper. Hem hits at the hip with no excess fabric.
Size: as you would for any well-fitting tee. For chest measurements between two sizes, size up.
What to size up
- Heavyweight 400 gsm hoodies in a fitted cut. The fabric weight reduces the perceived ease; sizing up adds wearable room.
- Anything you plan to layer over a long-sleeve.
What to size down
- Drop-shoulder hoodies if you want a less oversized look.
- Tees with a hem you plan to tuck in.
When in doubt
Order a sample kit (see the sample kit article). The fit difference between cuts is usually clearer when you see two side by side.
