Mockup approval
Every order with a custom design gets a digital mockup before production starts. The mockup confirms the placement, the size of the print, and the colour balance. We do not start production until you sign off.
What the mockup shows
- The garment in the colour and size you ordered.
- The print rendered at the placement and size you chose, on the garment image.
- A measurement annotation showing the print size in millimetres.
- A note on the print method (DTG or screen print) we have routed to.
What the mockup does not show
- The exact colour of the print. Monitors are not print. For Pantone-critical work, request a physical proof (GBP 35).
- The fabric texture. Most garments print onto a textured base; the mockup shows the print on a flat surface.
- The garment fit on a body. Use the size guide or order a sample kit for fit.
Approval window
The mockup is sent to the email on the order. You have 48 hours from receipt to:
- Approve. Reply "approve" to the email. Production starts the next working day.
- Request a change. Reply with the change. We revise the mockup; you re-approve.
- Cancel. Reply "cancel". We refund in full. No charge for the mockup revision.
After 48 hours with no reply we hold the order, not start production. We do not auto-approve.
Common change requests
- "Move the chest print 1 cm lower." Easy, half-day turnaround.
- "Change the print colour to a closer Pantone match." Half-day. We request the Pantone code if not already on file.
- "Change to screen print." Reroute to the screen print queue; adds 2 working days to production and may bump the unit cost. We confirm in writing before charging.
- "Add a second placement (sleeve / back)." Adds GBP 1.50 to GBP 3 per unit depending on placement; we confirm before applying.
Multi-recipient orders
Each recipient gets a copy of the dispatch email but not the mockup. The mockup goes to the order owner only, since the design is the same across the batch.
Bulk orders over 250 units
For runs of over 250 units, we ship one physical proof in addition to the digital mockup. The physical proof is included in the unit price. You approve the digital first; the physical confirms before we run the full batch.
