Bulk ordering

How pricing tiers work, what counts as bulk, and the lead times on large runs.

Bulk ordering

Norma's pricing tiers reward volume. The per-unit price drops at 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250 units. Above 1,000 units we move to a quoted price.

Standard tiers

For most catalogue products, the typical drops are:

QuantityIndicative discount vs unit price
1Baseline
1010 to 15 percent off
2518 to 22 percent off
5025 to 30 percent off
10030 to 35 percent off
25035 to 40 percent off
1,000+Quoted

Exact tiers vary per product. Each product page shows its tier table.

What counts as bulk

We treat bulk as 50 units or more in one order. At 50:

  • The per-unit price drops to the 50-tier rate.
  • The order qualifies for the multi-recipient shipping discount.
  • The order can route to screen print (more durable on solid-colour artwork) if applicable.
  • A physical proof can be sent before production starts on request.

Lead times

  • Under 50 units. 2 to 4 working days production.
  • 50 to 250 units. 4 to 6 working days production.
  • 250 to 1,000 units. 6 to 10 working days production. We may run in two batches.
  • Over 1,000 units. Quoted timeline; typically 2 to 4 weeks. Includes a physical proof step.

Add UK delivery (2 to 3 working days) or EU/international delivery on top.

Pricing for custom base products

For volumes over 250 units of a single design, we can source custom base products through our manufacturing partners. Custom bases are:

  • A specific gsm or fabric blend not in our catalogue.
  • A specific colour outside our standard colour swatch.
  • A specific cut (longer hem, shorter sleeve, branded inside-neck label).

Custom bases carry a tooling cost (typically GBP 500 to GBP 2,000) and a longer lead time (4 to 8 weeks for the first run). After the first run, repeat orders run on the standard production timeline.

Bulk approvals

Bulk orders frequently trigger workspace approval rules. The approver sees the per-unit and total cost in the approval email; one approval covers the whole batch.

Bulk shipping

For UK bulk orders over 100 units to a single address, we ship by pallet for orders over 250 units (typically a tee folds to about 4 to 6 units per kg; a hoodie folds to about 1.5 to 2 units per kg). Pallet shipping is the same flat rate as a standard parcel; the per-unit cost drops sharply.

For multi-recipient bulk orders (e.g. 250 welcome kits across 250 addresses), shipping is per-parcel as standard.

VAT and invoicing

Bulk orders are invoiced as a single line per product variant with a quantity. VAT is shown ex- and inc-VAT on the invoice. Net 30 applies if approved on your workspace.

Returns on bulk

The 14-day return window applies from the delivery date of the first parcel. We accept reissues or refunds on the affected units; we do not require the whole batch back.
