Where our materials come from

We source cotton from three regions, mostly under GOTS organic certification. Recycled polyester for hoodies and bottle fleece comes from GRS-certified suppliers. Every claim on a product page is backed by a certification number you can verify.

Cotton

  • Default cotton: GOTS-certified organic, sourced through one of two licensed mills (India and Türkiye). Both run audited under GOTS 7.0.
  • Recycled cotton: for selected products, blended at 30 to 50 percent recycled with GOTS organic virgin cotton. The recycled content is GRS-certified.
  • Conventional cotton: we do not stock conventional cotton in the standard catalogue. For bulk orders over 1,000 units where price is the gating factor, conventional cotton is available on request with a written sustainability note.

What GOTS means

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the leading certification for organic textiles. To carry the GOTS mark, a product must:

  • Contain at least 70 percent organic fibre by weight (95 percent for "GOTS organic").
  • Be processed in mills that meet GOTS environmental criteria (no toxic dyes, restricted wastewater, no genetic engineering).
  • Be made under GOTS social criteria (ILO labour standards, no child labour, living wages, freedom of association).

Each certified product has a licence number printed on the product page, verifiable on the public GOTS database at <a href="https://www.global-standard.org/" rel="nofollow">global-standard.org</a>.

Polyester

For hoodie blends and bottle fleece:

  • Recycled polyester: GRS-certified, sourced from post-consumer bottles. Typical recycled content is 50 to 65 percent.
  • Virgin polyester: used only where structural performance requires it (high-stretch sportswear; not in the standard catalogue).

Inks

All print inks are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning they pass the strictest restricted-substances list for direct skin contact. Phthalate-free, PVC-free, vegan.

Manufacturing

  • Print and finishing: UK-based, in our partner facility in Leicester. Powered on a renewable energy tariff.
  • Cut and sew: for in-stock blanks, EU-based (Portugal, Türkiye). For private-label runs over 1,000 units, we can route to UK cut-and-sew (longer lead time, higher per-unit cost).

What we do not do

  • We do not stock anything labelled "eco" without an underlying certification.
  • We do not write our own sustainability claims. Every claim ties to a third-party standard.
  • We do not greenwash. Where a product is conventional, the product page says so.
