Where our materials come from
Every order is made to order by our production partners, from blanks in their own supply. The materials depend on the product.
What we can tell you
- Fabric and weight: each product page states what the supplier gives us.
- Country of origin: on the garment's care label. Ask us before you order and we will tell you what the supplier states for that product.
- Certifications: we state one (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, GRS or FSC) only where the supplier certifies that product and we can verify it. None is shown today.
What GOTS means
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the leading certification for organic textiles. To carry the GOTS mark, a product must:
- Contain at least 70 percent organic fibre by weight (95 percent for "GOTS organic").
- Be processed in mills that meet GOTS environmental criteria (no toxic dyes, restricted wastewater, no genetic engineering).
- Be made under GOTS social criteria (ILO labour standards, no child labour, living wages, freedom of association).
A certified product can be checked on the public GOTS database at <a href="https://www.global-standard.org/" rel="nofollow">global-standard.org</a>.
What we do not do
- We do not call a product "eco" or "sustainable" without a certification behind it.
- We do not make carbon or offset claims. We have not measured our footprint yet.
